1. Is there a customer for this knowledge?
2. Are you clear what your knowledge asset is really about?
3. Is there a community of practice relating to this subject?
4. Is there existing material upon which you can base your knowledge asset?
5. Look for general guidelines
6. Build a checklist illustrated with examples and stories
7. Include links to people
8. Validate the guidlines
9. Publish the knowledge asset
10. Finally, keep it alive. Initiate a feedback and ownership process
